People in Liverpool are being urged to check their washing machines after models were recalled over safety risks.
Whirlpool is urging customers to make contact with them after a product recall was announced in December 2019.
The company said it will provide customers with faulty washing machines a free replacement or repair if needed.
Towards the end of 2019, Whirlpool identified a potential risk concerning certain models of Hotpoint and Indesit branded washing machines manufactured between 2014 and 2018.
And in April 2020 it added a further 54,000 units, and contacted the registered owners of these machines.
The company said millions of people have contacted Whirlpool to ask about their washing machines, but the percentage of people responding to the call in Liverpool is slightly less than the national average.
