Which? to recommend appliances based on their sustainability for the first time – iNews

Consumer watchdog Which? will start recommending household appliances based on their green credentials, the first time it has championed products based on their sustainability.

The group has awarded 34 appliances its Eco Buys badge, including a £350 Grundig washing machine and £400 Bosch smart dishwasher.

Eco Buys recommendations have been extensively tested and found to cause the least harm to the environment while saving shoppers money, it said.

The products have also been examined to work out how easily they can be repaired, as being able to fix simple faults ensures the machine will keep working for years to come and lower the likelihood of having to replace it altogether.
